What's Zazen Zazen meeting guidance How to Zazen
Taisyū-zendō -for popular zazen meeting-
This zazen meeting is for the general public. Everyone can attend this zazen meeting.
・Every Saturday
 PM. 5:30-AM. 9:00 Sunday
( There are adjournments in January, August, December. So, please ask us.)
・Necessities
Nightwear , toilet things , writing materials , and clothes suitable for zazen.
( It is suitable to wear largish slacks, or training wear. There is a dressing room for women. )
・Expense
First time: 2,000 yen. / Second time- 1,000 yen.

(Sat) PM 5:30 Recipt
6:00 Sarei (Tea-drinking ritual. The ceremony of offering tea at the zen monastery during the first meeting.)Orientation
6:30 Zazen
7:30 Teishō (Teaching: A special type of lecture delivered by zen masters)
8:30 Zazen
10:00 Kaichin (Lights-out time and go to bed.)
(Sun) AM5:00 Kaijyō ( Get up )
5:30 Chōka ( Morning-chanting )
Zazen
7:00 Syukuza ( Breakfast )
7:30 Samu ( Labor at a Zen monastery. Cleaning )
8:15 Sarei (Tea-drinking ritual )
9:00 Breakup
Please eat dinner before your receipt(PM 5:30) on Saturday.
No one can go out without permission from receipt to breakup in next day.
Myōshin-ji Zendō-kai
The date The 6th, 7th, 8th day of every month, AM 6:00 – AM 7:30(90minutes)
The Place

Myōshin-ji Ōhōjyō
Expense 500 yen (for 3 days)
Schedule AM6:00-6:30 Zazen
AM6:30-7:30 Teishō (Teaching)A special type of lecture delivered by zen master Noritake Syūnan.
・We entertain with refreshments on the last day(8th day) of every month.
・Irrespective of age, sex, religion and denomination. Everyone can attend.
There is no need to apply. Please take a direct part.
